From the makers of the well-known game Tap Tap Revenge, you get this Twitter iPhone app.  This particular app has some nice features like “tweet stream” from strangers nearby.  Cute and fun characters are also offered.  However, it still has many unresolved system issues.  The system hangs during use and the app is often slow to open.

Echofon for Twitter
This iPhone Twitter app was formerly called TwitterFon.  If you are a basic tweeter, you will find everything you need with this very simple app.  It provides you with four basic screens that allow you to search according to location and also read the replies of your friends and the people you follow.  Two huge positives for this Twitter iPhone app: it is anchored on a very stable network and is updated frequently with upgrades.  Pretty impressive service for a free app.

NatsuLion for iPhone
This app is very similar to Echofon for Twitter.  To compare, the basic screens are pretty much the same except for the searching feature.  With this app, it’s super easy to find and read your unread tweets.  This is a very compact app that doesn’t have the flashy features.  It has a simple, fast, and slick user-interface for you to enjoy Twitter; it was not built for heavy tweeting.

Twitfire
If you are most interested in telling the world and all of your followers “what you are doing” and not concerned about anyone else’s tweets, then this Twitter iPhone app is for you.  As this app is for posting to Twitter ONLY, the goal of this app is to make posting a tweet "quick and powerful".  Just tap on the right icon and tell the Twitterverse of your plans and announcements.

This app is very comparable to Twitfire; JustUpdate is for people who want a quick and easy way to provide updates to Twitter.  Don't get this app if you want an all-inclusive Twitter app. This is for people who want the ability to quickly update their followers with what is happening in their life while on-the-go. 

Gyazickr
Albeit an unusual name, this app makes the list because it actually serves as a picture scout.  This is probably the simplest Twitter iPhone app of them all as it only permits you to twitter with your pictures.  Select a photo and inscribe the caption, then tweet it!  With this app, you are only able to post pictures and see pictures posted by other users in a cool slideshow view.  If you are searching for an all-inclusive Twitter app, this is not the application for you.

TweetSpotter
This app is an exciting, fresh way to tweet about the places and events near you.  It is all about following places, not people, while on Twitter.  In TweetSpotter, you send photos and tweets regarding certain places, not just about yourself.  Shutterbugs will definitely like this Twitter app.
