TweetDeck for iPhone
This is one of the Twitter apps that allows you to twitter exactly the same as you would on your computer at home.  This app allows you to handle multiple accounts and has many features imbedded that make it easy to re-tweet, view tweets in real-time and sync your existing TweetDeck columns between your iPhone and your desktop.  Oh yeah, by the way, it's free!  It really should be on the Best Free iPhone Twitter Apps list, but it is truly one of the best of the best when it comes to Twitter iPhone apps!

If you only have one Twitter account, this is probably the app for you.  This Twitter app does just about anything you could want.  Some of the unique features this app offers are an address book, group feature, cached tweets, and you can view the app in landscap mode anywhere and everywhere.  At $1.99, this app is very reasonably priced.  And, if you have and use only one Twitter account, this is one of your best bets!

Twitter Pro
As a very new app, Twitter Pro has raised the bars for Twitter apps in the future.  There are new features contained in this app that have never been seen before.  This is the first Twitter app that allows users to put their current location info in tweets (by longitude and latitude) by utilizing geo-tagging.  Twitter Pro can also auto-update your Facebook status so you don't double post all the time.  With this app, you can also search Twitter by location.  When you buy this app, you also get a free bonus app that aggregates the most popular tweets for you!  

Twittelator Pro
This well-designed app is great for reading tweets and finding favorites and costs $4.99.  One of the weirdly important features is that the tweeting sound is really pleasant.  The developers of this app keep coming out with new upgrades and they now claim over 150 features!  In the past, there was a bit to be desired with this app, but they sure are adding a lot of neat features that make using this app smooth as can be.

Tweetie 
All other Twitter apps combined haven't garnered as much praise as Tweetie.  This app has made its users very happy.  For only $2.99, you get all the standard features plus it is extremely fast.  With Tweetie, you are able to tweet faster, follow new accounts and even create and manage multiple accounts.  Tweetie has it all, which is why it ranks as my best iPhone Twitter app.

Update:  Tweetie 2 came out on October 5th, 2009.  This new and improved version was rewritten entirely to make the Tweetie experience even better and still costs only $2.99!  Without a doubt, Tweetie 2 is the "new Tweetie" and is the Twitter app that everyone should really take a hard look at first.  Try to imagine how awesome Tweetie is... Double it and you're at Tweetie 2's level!  Simply amazing...
